My partner and I weren’t even looking to sell for a year or two, but a few months ago we realized that we needed to educate ourselves on how to sell, so I landed up at BizBuySell and started looking through the profiles. It was depressing. So many headshots of men wearing suits and ties with descriptions of their services that told me precisely nothing. I arranged a meeting with one who filled me with gloom. Selling would likely take a year at best, and at worst we wouldn’t get a buyer at all, that is assuming he was gracious enough to take us on. Depressing stuff.

I called late on a Tuesday afternoon. Early Wednesday morning my partner and I had a preliminary, very positive meeting with Christine and she offered to do a valuation; we scheduled a follow up for the following day and sent her our P&L.
