“Some of life’s pivotal moments are only apparent in hindsight, and one such was the day I made a spur of the moment decision to call The Magnolia Firm.

My partner and I weren’t even looking to sell for a year or two, but a few months ago we realized that we needed to educate ourselves on how to sell, so I landed up at BizBuySell and started looking through the profiles. It was depressing. So many headshots of men wearing suits and ties with descriptions of their services that told me precisely nothing. I arranged a meeting with one who filled me with gloom. Selling would likely take a year at best, and at worst we wouldn’t get a buyer at all, that is assuming he was gracious enough to take us on. Depressing stuff.

A few days later, I went back to BizBuySell to take another look. This time, serendipity landed me at Christine's profile. In a sea of gray men here was a woman looking relaxed and confident. I clicked and, hurrah, in place of the usual brief cryptic sentence or two was a plain English description of exactly what to expect from The Magnolia Firm during each stage of the sales process. I called late on a Tuesday afternoon. Early Wednesday morning my partner and I had a preliminary, very positive meeting with Christine and she offered to do a valuation; we scheduled a follow up for the following day and sent her our P&L. Thursday she went through the valuation and talked about TMF’s processes. It was a proactive, constructive and positive meeting - such a breath of fresh air! TMF set what seemed to be a tight deadline of just three weeks to receive letters of intent, and during this time we met with seven potential buyers, each of whom had been vetted by TMF, who each Monday provided us with a detailed summary of all inquiries. By the time of the LOI deadline, we had received five offers, two at asking price. Momentum is everything in sales, and TMF sure know how to keep things moving along! There were bumps in the road between offer and final sale, and Chrissy and her team were with us every step of the way keeping things positive and moving forward.
